Many couples these days want to find out how they can have a child of one sex or another, and learn how to get pregnant with a girl or a boy. Some may already have a child, or several children of one sex and want to have another in the opposite sex, while others may have medical or genetic reasons behind wanting to determine the sex of the pre conceived child.
Chances of this happening have been greatly increased thanks to the results of ongoing studies over the years. In fact, medical experts have been studying this for hundreds of years and the persistence has lead to much more understanding of how this can be achieved.
Now we know that the male sperm consists of two types. A type ‘X’ sperm represents the female form and will produce a female baby should the egg be impregnated with an X type sperm. A ‘Y’ type represents the male. The male ‘Y’ sperm are actually much weaker than the female and will perish more quickly. It is this finding that allows us to time the conception to give either the X or the Y type sperm the better chance of reaching the egg.
