Most of us have seen a Rival crock pot brand slow cooker before, indeed many of us have them in our kitchens and many of us have come to rely on them a great deal for creating delicious slow cooked meals for our families.
We rely on them because they are so useful and easy to use and they seem to last for a long, long time in our homes before the time finally comes when they might need to be replaced. However, it seems that often crock pot owners decide that the time has come to replace these trusty appliances when there is still potentially some life left in them. What I mean by this is that often crock pot owners decide to get rid of their crock pots because of something as relatively minor as a broken handle or knob, or a cracked stoneware liner or lid; while all of these may make a slow cooker unusable as is, they are all problems that could be remedied with the timely use of the right rival crock pot replacement parts, and too often crock pot owners just don’t seem to realize this.
So, what to do?
The answer to this could be as close as your nearest department store, kitchen-wares retailer, liquidation store or appliance clearance outlet. Let me elaborate. At your local department store or ‘big box’ outlet, you might find that they carry replacement crock pot lids, handles, liners or knobs. At the kitchen appliance store they may also carry a similar range of replacement parts, or may even be willing to order them in for you if they don’t. At the clearance and liquidation outlets, you might have a better chance of finding your current model of crock pot slow cooker at a seriously discounted rate than have a chance of finding replacement parts, but if the price is right you could end up heading home with a brand new crock pot with the intention of keeping your existing one around for parts if and when the need should arise.
Another option includes a visit to your nearest department store or neighborhood hardware store where you could buy an appropriately sized washer, nut and bolt, with which to repair a broken knob from a crock pot lid. Finally, you could also consider a visit to your local thrift shops to see if you can dig up a used crock pot that is similar enough to your own to use it. After all, a used Rival crock pot that you pick up in decent shape (if it is in better working condition than your own) could allow your current one to become a great future source of Rival crock pot parts ready and waiting for when – and if, you need them!
